What a difference a month (or two) makes. From a few gigs with bands here and there to a slammed ful schedule producing, recording, mixing and mastering. Reminds me of the old saying, "if you want something done, give it to a busy person". I am certainly busy! But never too busy to reply to any requests for production or recording services.
First the awesome news...since August 1, I have been producing the debut album by an amazing 11 year old female singer whom I met at Celebritty Fight Night event in Phoenix in March of this year. She performed with David Foster at that event (I was working the gig as keyboard tech). I can't really say who she is, other than to drop a hint...she was a runner up on America's Got Talent two years ago, and has since appeared on network morning shows like Good Morning America and Today, the Ellen show, sung the national anthem at baseball games, performed with David Foster and by herself to raise money for children's health issues. She IS an incredible vocalist and you WILL see and hear a lot more from her once the album is released. Stay tuned..I will announce who she is when the album is out.
Now the not-so-awesome news...the Pat Benatar tribute band I was in, Best Shot, called it a day. Take your pick of reasons...personal disputes, promoter problems, musical differences..any of those typical band-broke-up causes will suffice. It was a fun gig, and I may connect with various member sof the band in future projects. I am still in Shannon Rae's band, 100 Proof, and we are continuing to perform at venues across the breadth and width of Southern California.
Other than that, all is good, I'm happily married to my best friend, and my dog is happy and healthy. Couldn't ask for more than that.
